Before installation, we will remove the old roof down to the roof deck and take away the old materials. Our experienced crews will make sure not to disrupt the grounds around the home or the existing attic structure. Once the old roof is off, we’ll start installing the new one.
All of our projects include new underlayment, flashing, exhaust vents and pipe boots, and finally the shingles or panels. If needed, we’ll replace the plywood or OSB decking in addition to skylights, solar tubes, fascia and barge boards.
Overlay/Re-Roofing – We may be able to install a new aluminum roof right over the existing roof.
Depending on how many layers of roofing you have as well as the age and condition of your roof, Mountaintop Metal Roofing may be able to install a new aluminum roof right over the existing roof. This is a cheaper option since you prevent having to pay for the labor and disposal fees of doing a tear-off.
However, we will need to perform an extensive inspection to make sure there are no underlying problems with the existing roof. After all, if there is any damage to the decking or structure, we don’t want to just cover it up. If the decking is beginning to rot, even new aluminum roofing won’t solve the problem.
