The rainforests of the Olympic Peninsula, snow-heavy peaks of the Cascades, and the sun-drenched plains of Eastern Washington demand a lot from a roof. Sadly, standard roofing materials often struggle to keep up with Washington’s diverse climate, leading to moss growth, leaks, and frequent replacements.
At Mountaintop Metal Roofing, we specialize in providing Washington homeowners with a permanent solution. Our high-grade aluminum and copper roofing systems are engineered specifically for the Pacific Northwest. Eco-friendly, fire-resistant, and virtually maintenance-free, our roofs are designed to be the last one you’ll ever need to buy.

We are proud to provide top-tier roofing solutions to homeowners across the Evergreen State. Why Metal Roofing is the Smart Choice for Washington
In Washington, moisture is the enemy of a traditional roof. Asphalt shingles tend to trap dampness, providing the perfect breeding ground for moss and algae that eventually compromise the structure. We take a different approach.
Our aluminum and copper systems are naturally resistant to rot and moss. Because these materials reflect heat and shed snow efficiently, they protect your home’s structural integrity year-round. Every roof we install comes with a lifetime, non-prorated, transferable warranty, transforming a recurring maintenance headache into a one-time investment that adds significant value to your property.
Our lightweight aluminum systems can often be installed directly over your existing roof, reducing waste in Washington landfills and saving you the cost of a full tear-off.
We can integrate solar solutions directly onto your metal roof, providing a stable, 50-year foundation for your renewable energy goals.
The Mountaintop Experience: Quality Without Compromise
We know that choosing a contractor in Washington can be a challenge. We’ve built our business on the belief that the experience of getting a roof is just as important as the roof itself.
Clear & Consistent Communication
You’ll never have to wonder about the status of your project. We provide updates via your preferred method (text, email, or phone) from the moment you get your estimate until the final inspection.
Elite Installation Teams
We don’t cut corners. Our installers are experts in Northwest-specific challenges, ensuring every flashing, seam, and vent is watertight and built to last.
Impeccable Site Management
We believe in leaving your home better than we found it. Our crews perform daily cleanups and a rigorous final sweep to ensure your yard is free of debris.
A roof should be more than just a temporary cover. Whether you are dealing with the salt air of the Washington Coast or the high-pitch challenges of a home in the Cascades, Mountaintop Metal Roofing provides the expertise and the materials to ensure you never have to worry about your roof again.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a metal roof handle the high winds in Washington?
Our metal roofing systems are engineered to withstand high wind speeds common in the PNW. Because the panels and shingles are securely interlocked and fastened, they offer superior wind resistance compared to traditional shingles.
Will a metal roof attract lightning?
No. While metal is a conductor of electricity, a roof is not more likely to be struck by lightning just because it is made of metal. In the rare event of a strike, metal is non-combustible, making it much safer than traditional roofing materials.
Does a metal roof require special maintenance?
Very little. Unlike asphalt roofs that require regular moss treatments and shingle repairs, an aluminum or copper roof generally only requires an occasional rinse to remove debris.
Is metal roofing better for the environment?
Absolutely. Not only are our materials often made from recycled content, but they are also 100% recyclable at the end of their life, unlike asphalt shingles, which contribute billions of pounds of waste to landfills every year.
This is a top-notch company who I would recommend to anyone - friend, family, stranger - who was interested in having a high quality, life-time metal roof on their home or business. I am an exacting customer when it comes to laying out major funds for a purchase (ok, I'm kind of exacting anyway). I did a lot of research prior to outreach for bids, and invited five highly-rated companies to look at my project, make their suggestions, and give me a bid. MountainTop Metal Roofing floated to the top in every category. From first contact with their sales team, to meeting with the rep, the time the crews were at my property, to final walk through and receipt of my paid invoice and drone footage of my (gorgeous) new roof, MountainTop was and is a rock star. Their bid was competitive, their crews showed up on time, worked hard, were respectful of my time and property. When I had questions, they were answered. When there was a problem, they fixed it. When there was going to be a delay, I knew about it and understood why. The work is meticulous, the product is excellent, and frankly, the warranties are outstanding.
But there's one more thing.
I grade HARD on customer service, and if I had to pick one component that shines clearly through all categories, it's that. Customer service. This company is very customer-service and communication forward. It makes a difference. When all other factors balance out - pricing, product, warranties, availability, quality - responsiveness to and care for one's clientele is going to win the day.
MountainTop Metal Roofing is a winner. If you are considering that metal roof....consider giving MountainTop a call. I don't think you'll regret it.
Mountainside Roofing installed James HARDI plank siding on my 2 story house which had LP siding that had failed and needed a complete teardown and new siding.
Upon doing research, I decided to go with HARDI which is a concrete composite material known for its durability and fire resistance.
Sal and his crew were able to complete HARDI horizontal siding on the first story with a belly band and then Board and Batten on the upper level. They were able to complete the project within two weeks and even worked on the weekends. Sal, the owner was at the job site everyday to ensure everything went smoothly and kept me apprised at each step.
I received over 10 bids for the home improvement and I was pleasantly surprised at Mountainside's extremely reasonable and competitive bid.
Sal always checked with me daily to ensure that I was satisfied with the work done. Even though I made minor changes along the way, he would gladly comply with my requests and even offered suggestions on the aesthetics of the house appearance based upon his years of experience.
I am very impressed with the professionalism and work ethics of Sal and his entire crew.
If you decide to choose Mountainside for your home improvement project, you will not regret it and you will be very happy with your home's transformation.
We recently had Mountaintop Metal Roofing install a new standing seam metal roof on our home and had an outstanding experience. We chose a metal roof for its longevity and long-term value, and after getting four bids, Mountaintop gave us the most confidence in both the quality of the installation and the customer service — and they delivered.
Communication was excellent from start to finish, with proactive updates and quick responses to our questions. The installers were professional, hardworking, and kept the job site clean each day.
We love how the roof turned out, most importantly, the peace of mind knowing our home is protected for decades to come. We would absolutely recommend Mountaintop to anyone considering a metal roof.
I had made an appointment with Mountaintop but an Erie salesperson beat them to the estimate. The salesman from Erie didn’t leave until 11:30 PM and I made the mistake of signing a contract. A few days later the Mountaintop salesman called and gave his estimate. It was the same price for a forever metal roof through Mountaintop as Erie was charging for asphalt. I was a little worried as I had passed the time in which I could back out from Erie. Fortunately for me Erie had misrepresented the wind warranty and made a few mistakes in the contract which allowed me to get the money back I had given them. The Mountaintop guys did a great job, it looks fantastic and the job that was estimated to take 3 days only took 1.5 days. It looks so good that one of my neighbors has already spoken to the salesman about doing their roof.
Mountaintop Metal Roofing exceeded our expectations installing our beautiful new roof. From the very start of our project Mountaintops team was very professional & organized, keeping us informed with each step. Our project was completed on schedule in 4 days. We would highly recommend Mountaintop Metal Roofing. It’s so wonderful knowing that this is the last roof we’ll ever have to put on our home. Mountaintop Metal Roofing is a no pressure sales company. Just friendly, caring people.
Mountaintop Metal Roofing did an outstanding job on our new roof. Their team installed a beautiful black aluminum standing seam roof, and the quality truly exceeded our expectations. I even looked up the materials they were using during the install, and sure enough—they use the best products available. My wife and I are extremely happy with the result.
Yosef and his crew did excellent work on the installation itself, and their project manager, Vitaliy, was fantastic at overseeing everything and answering every question we had along the way. Glen, the owner, and his assistant, Sage, were also always available and made us feel completely supported throughout the process.
Bottom line: Mountaintop Metal Roofing is an A+++ company with a highly professional staff and top-tier materials. We absolutely love how our new roof looks. Another big reason we chose them was their warranty and guarantee—we feel confident that if anything ever comes up, they’ll stand behind their work and take care of it.
We’ll definitely be recommending Mountaintop Metal Roofing to anyone considering a new roof. Thank you again for a job well done!
We just had our roof replaced by Mountaintop Metal Roofing, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and professional. Gene (aka “the roofing machine”) and his crew were fantastic to work with—hardworking, detail-oriented, and very respectful of our property.
The Driftwood Cedar Slate Aluminum Shingles look absolutely stunning and have completely transformed the look of our home. The craftsmanship really shows, and we have peace of mind knowing this roof will last for decades. It’s rare these days to find a team that takes such pride in their work, but MountainTop Metal Roofing delivered above and beyond.
Highly recommend them to anyone considering a new roof—you won’t be disappointed! -Scott & Marijke
Really happy with the new roof so far! Would absolutely recommend Mountaintop to any friends or family that was in need of a new roof.
Reached out to Mountaintop in 2023 and got a great, detailed sales pitch and estimate but wasn't quite ready to move forward. Reached out again when I was ready and had a wonderful experience with Mike, Kailey, and the whole team. Was pleasantly surprised that they were able to get the work done before the holidays. Team was on time each day, efficient, and cleaned up before leaving for the day which I appreciated very much.
Had a minor issue with my furnace (likely caused by their work) and the team was understanding, responsive, communicative, and quick to get it taken care of.
(Pictures attached were taken by Mountaintop and shared with me)
We had a Permalock roof installed on our summer cabin, replacing 35 year old cedar shingles that were leaking despite earlier repairs. The Mountaintop folks were super easy to work with and handled our logistical issues - e.g. the cabin is on an island with no roads - with ease. They did a beautiful job with all the details, including a conical roof on the tower, taking time to make sure everything was done correctly. We would highly recommend them.
The final product looks amazing on our home. The installers were very professional and meticulous in their work. The only issue was related to our gutters. We choose a custom color and were told initially this could also be done on our gutters with factory material/sealed custom color coating. However, into the process we were told this could not be done and gutters would need to be painted after installation. They did have them professionally painted but quality/coverage is not even close to a factory build. We lost the factory seal and clearcoating so any slight bump on the gutter scratches the paint off. Still a 5 star due to the quality work and finished look overall.
I highly recommend Mountaintop Metal. Max was a pleasure to work with and genuinely listened and understood my family’s needs for our new roof. The gentlemen who installed our roof were highly skilled, safe and efficient, always ensuring our property was clean and tidy at the end of the work day. The front office was responsive and professional. It was a great experience start to finish. Thank you guys for doing such an excellent job!
To sum it up, we couldn't be any happier with the work that Mountaintop did to provide us with a new metal roof. We decided to go with their Permalock product (which looks more like traditional shingles) instead of the standing seam and we are quite pleased with the results (pictures attached). It's only been a month since installation, so I can't speak to the long term durability (but their warranty speaks to that); however, I can comment on the expert craftsmanship and willingness to go the extra mile of the installation team - Roman and Joseph. I'm glad we chose Mountaintop and I would do it again if we were starting this process from the beginning.
We worked with Mountaintop in 2024 to overlay our conventional aging asphalt shingle roof with aluminum tile shingles. They also worked to take down a decrepit patio roof the previous homeowner had "engineered" into the existing roof. The whole company was a real pleasure to work with. Glenn and Kailey did a fantastic job on both the front and back ends. Options were laid out in a straightforward manner with all the pluses and minuses of each discussed. The job was done on our ~ 2000 sf house in about four days; the field crew of only two guys worked tirelessly and efficiently. Gene and Alex were super conscientious about keeping everything clean and neat and paid close attention to the little things. Best of all, they were harnessed in safely to anchor points the entire time, which was of great importance to me. I've seen a number of previous roofers work without fall protection, and I swore I'd never hire anyone who did that. We're really happy with the results, and really pleased we went with Mountaintop. Would highly recommend them, and would use them again if we needed another metal roof.
Fantastic company to work with for your metal roofing needs. Max provided a bid for my $65,000 job. Although his bid was the most expensive, he was also the most thorough spending about 1.5 hours crawling in our attic and explaining the technical stuff about why their install team is the best. The work crew were very responsive and I appreciated their thoroughness cleaning up after themselves.
We are very happy with our new roof. Mountaintop Metal roofing finished on schedule and we paid a fair price. Their professional crew kept the site clean and informed us of what they were doing. I highly recommend Mountop Metal Roofing
We had a great experience with this company for replacing our old rotting asphalt shingle roof with a new green aluminum shingle one. The team was fast and professional with a clean installation.
They were very flexible with some last minute modifications such as needing to replace additional rotting fascia board and demolishing a back porch roof section to even out the roofline and open space for a future awning to which they worked around without any complication. Would recommend. Price was comparable to many asphalt shingle quotes for a much more durable product.
A work of art! So impressed with the design and workmanship that went into the creation of our roof. Equally impressed by the quality of the installers who were focused and professional and delivered the job on time. The central office managed the schedule perfectly, kept us informed throughout and were always available and responsive. We always felt our job was the most important one they had. Good job Mountaintop Metal. You have a great team and product. We picked the right company!
We met with 6 different roofing companies before landing on Mountaintop. Pricing-wise, Mountaintop was in the upper middle of the quotes - but we still felt very confident with the decision to select them. What made us select them was their personal attention, communication of our needs, product quality, warranties on the work and product, and the process they use to build the roof.
An extra shout out to Kailey with the office who was INCREDIBLY helpful throughout. When we ran into snags with the city and needed to schedule an electrical outage, she worked directly with the electrical company to confirm the needs and project timeline. When we wanted to ensure we had gutter providers lined up that worked with the new roof type, she connected us with a local company - and even worked with them directly to update timelines as the project dates shifted. When we wanted tinted skylights for our NINE custom skylights (which Mountaintop doesn't do), she found a trusted vendor and sent us tinting samples and cost comparisons of skylights so we had choices. Like literally, anything that we assumed we would have to deal with alone, we didn't because before we could even start, Kailey was already on it and had solved any problems that came up.
Our original project manager/sales person transitioned out of the company before the project started, so the company owner, Glen took on our project. He gets an extra shout-out too. It was clear from the start that Glen knows his stuff and how to engage with clients who don't know anything about roofing - he was able to explain things clearly and provide the "why" for certain things that needed to be done. As we hit hiccups, Glen worked to find reasonable solutions - and went above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied with the outcome. He really looks out for the customer - and wants to make sure that they are feeling confident throughout the process. Glen was very communicative, and we felt comfortable reaching out as much as we needed.
The on-site crew did great work on both the demo of the old torch-down roof and installation of the new metal roof. They demoed some outdoor pergolas that were going to impact the gutter placement, and made sure that we had pictures of the roof progress. We are happy with the installation crew and appreciate the very, very long days that they spent on the project. They finished on time, which was great considering we anticipated having to go over based on some surprises that were found once demo started.
Overall, while I'm hopeful and confident we won't need a roof replacement in the next hopefully-bazillion-years, if we ever did, we'd be reaching back out to Glen and his team at Mountaintop Metal Roofing. 10/10
Working with MountainTop was great. We got three bids and although theirs wasn't the lowest, or highest they really knew what they were talking about. They inspected our house and suggested what shingles to use for our location and explained everything very clearly. The installation couldn't have gone more smoothly, with no debris left behind on the ground. We will definitely use them again, but hopefully not for another 50 years.
The team at Mountaintop Metal Roofing exceeded our expectations in every way. We were referred to Max by Bell Roof Care. Max was amazing to work with due to his extensive knowledge and attention to detail. He listened to what we wanted, made recommendations and made us feel comfortable with the complexity of the project and the specific needs of our existing roof. We never felt the need to get a second quote since we were so confident in Mountaintop Metal Roofing's expertise and attention to quality. They went above and beyond working with Bell Roof Care to reclaim our old roof tiles to be reused and keeping them out of a landfill.
We got on the schedule quickly and had a great weather window for our install week. Our installers, Oleg and Andre, worked incredibly hard and efficiently and finished the project on time doing an amazing job.
We would 100% recommend Mountaintop Metal Roofing to anybody wanting a top quality product, efficient process and incredible workmanship. Our roof, new gutters with gutter guards look amazing and we couldn't be happier.
As a business experience this is one of my best experiences with any contractor. We interviewed 7 different local companies before deciding on Mountaintop for out metal roof. One of the major reasons was no other metal roofing company bothered to mention that traditional metal roof warranties are dramatically diminished when leaving within 15 miles of the coast and non existent if living on the coast. Mountaintop advised us to review the paperwork provided by other companies and sure enough we found this warranty issue to be real.
The solution provided by Max (salesman) and team was an interlocking aluminum system that deals with salt water much better.
They worked with our budget and got us reasonable financing terms so we did not have to pay the entire bill out of pocket. About 4-5 weeks after we first met construction began.
We had additional complications that came from our insulation requirements and caused delays from 3rd party insulation contractors but the Mountaintop team worked with everyone to create a plan that allowed them to continue moving forward. while creating working space for other contractors and their delays.
Job Site cleanup was IMMACULATE I have attempted fervently to find a nail or screw on the ground i could insist on additional Magnetic rolling but haven't found a single one.
Mountaintop Metal Roofing, of Portland, OR, helped us choose our desired metal roof, and installed it. The responsive parent company was easy and friendly to work with. All promises were met and the installation was excellent. The three installers all worked tirelessly (even during our one day of rain in 3 months!), intelligently, and thoughtfully, including careful cleanup. They did an excellent job on a complex product installation with the inclusion of mounting brackets for the 32 solar panels next to be installed. Best installation crew ever! We are delighted with the fully fireproof and lifetime results.
We needed a new roof and, since we live in an area with many fir trees, to go for a metal roof. We selected Mountaintop Metal Roofing based on customer reviews and BBB ratings. We couldn't be happier with our choice. We got the color we wanted, the roof looks like it is shingled (not the ribbed look you see on. pole barns), and it looks awesome!!! The guys that came out had to strip off the old asphalt roof and make some repairs, so we expected a mess. However, the two guys doing the roof cleaned everything up at the end of each day and treated our property like they would treat their own. They were on time everyday, were friendly, efficient, professional, courteous, and careful. And best of all, it is guaranteed for life and we will never have to replace our roof again! Everyone at Mountaintop has been great from start to finish and we could not recommend them more.
Mountaintop Metal Roofing provided excellent service and workmanship. The crew were punctual, focused, and hard working. The sales and front office staff were competent and organized. I would highly recommend Mountaintop Metal Roofing.
Mountaintop did a great job with installing the Oxford metal shingle roof to our main house and two detached garages. The shingle itself has a foam backing that makes the shingle more rigid and sound proof. We can barely hear the rain even during a storm. Mountaintop also replaced all our skylights and installed a solar powered skylight that can open and close remotely with a built in retractable shade. A great feature that cools the house and allows in fresh air. Project went smoothly and on budget. Good communication with the installers who were courteous and hardworking.
